Our Publications

History, however well researched, has absolutely no value if it remains shut away in a researcher's notebooks, gathering dust in a hidden corner of a university library or, worse still, remains confined to the dark depths of a historian's brain.

We are determined to make the history of Oatlands known on as wide a scale as possible and one of our primary methods will be by publishing books, booklets, leaflets and CD-ROMs in addition to this website. Obviously the cost of printing and publishing is significant and the group's financial situation will impose limitations on what we can achieve - but we will do our best.

Our aim is to make the history of Oatlands as readable and interesting as possible without sacrificing accuracy, but including every known fact often creates a lot of duplication, serves little real purpose and increases the cost of the publication beyond the reach of many people who would otherwise benefit from its content.
