school admissions register thumbnailThe School Admissions Register for the years 1907 to 1924 was discovered in the bottom of the "History Box" of the current Oatlands School. This reproduction contains images of all the completed pages of the original and a modern listing of all the children contained therein, sorted alphabetically by surname*.

Not only are there sometimes every child of a village family attending school but, spanning the period of WWI, there are children evacuated to Oatlands as a way to avoid the Zeppelin raids on London (this is quite possibly the only surviving evidence of that evacuation for some of them) and there are many local children shown with the comment "Father soldier".

Ideal for the family historian, anyone with Oatlands connections or as a coffee table book for a glimpse of days gone by.

This book is completed but is awaiting sufficient funds to allow for a print run. If you would like to pre-purchase a copy please contact us, without obligation, and we can arrive at a price based upon quantity and advise you accordingly.
